In another event on the same day, Sara Abdolmaleki, another Iranian rower, snatched Iran’s first medal in the 2022 Asian Para Games. She won the bronze in the Canoe Sprint women's KL1 event with a time of 1:13.594 on Monday. Chinese rower Maosan Xie seized the gold with 55.478 seconds and Japanese Monika Seryu won a silver.
